I really like this busy cover of NME with Lana Del Rey striking a suggestive, fun and bold pose that is really quite eye-catching. I have been looking for a busy cover that works well and matches some of the conventions in my magazine, such as this one. The conventions of this magazine are similar to those in my music magazine 'Download' and therefore i can justify and have evidence that my decisions of layout and colours can work well.

After long deliberation and different layouts of my cover, i have adjusted the text/main cover line so that it stands out from the page because having the featured artists name stand out is crucial in terms of who and how many will buy the magazine. Although the Masthead fits more appropriately with the conventions of 'Wonderland' magazine, the image and colour scheme shows similarities of the NME issue above.
